Interactive Learning: Syntorial doesn’t just show you how synth programming works.* Electronic Musician Editor's Choice 2014 * ![]() A unique and fun way to train your ears in re-creating synth sounds.” - MusicTech Magazine “The best training in synth sound-design we’ve come across. ![]() "The most comprehensive and fun tool for learning synthesizer programming, hands down." - Keyboard Magazine "Syntorial is the most direct route between hearing a sound in your head and knowing how to bring it to life." - Electronic Musician Magazine By combining video demonstrations with interactive challenges, you’ll get hands on experience programming patches on a built-in soft synth, and learn everything you need to know to start making your own sounds with ease. Feel free to experiment as long as you stay consistent with the current color scheme and feel, so that it looks like it belongs the design of the table of contents on the left side.Syntorial is a synthesizer training app, that will teach you how to program synth patches by ear. This is the first page someone sees when they open the app so we really want it to feel great for the users. The actual deliverable for the contest will only be one screen. Note, this is only to see how your design will change according to the user's progress. When the user finishes all lessons, the "Next Lesson" section becomes a "Congratulations" section. Everything else is secondary and should be arranged around it. This is the main point of this screen so I'd like it moved up and focused. The biggest goal is to emphasize the "Next Lesson" section that currently resides at the bottom. The main section below the message display (it starts with "Progress" at the top left) needs a total re-vamp. We'd like to have a cleaner and more modernized look. But this app is for musicians, not programmers. The top right section with the message display, looks drab, and has a "code" style. The right half of the page needs to be redesigned (leaving the Table Of Contents section on the left side as is) This page was partially finished when we hit pause. This contest will be focused on the main Home section. After this contest, we'll go on to work with the winner one-on-one to complete the remaining portions of the app. Sharp, modern, and flat design, with blues, greys, and oranges. There are already several pages designed, so the theme and style are set. We're looking for someone to pick up where he left off. Now that we're ready to resume the redesign, our graphic designer is no longer available. ![]() Partway through the redesign, we switched gears to another project. Syntorial was originally released back in 2013, and we started new a redesign in 2019. ![]()
